Prompty-sam: So, this is essentially Trail of The Survivor, right?
Jymaru: Kinda. It's the sequel
Strata: ...
Dude-With-Style: *bursts in*
Dude-With-Style: You basically made the sequel purely to keep in with your TA<something> trend, didn't you?
Manc Jap: She did
Jymaru: ANYWAY...Life is peaceful here in the world. Well, call it peaceful if you want, that's how a citizen sees it anyway. There are wars going on, some of them on your back doorstep. Politics is a key issue in modern-day Earth society. The politicians tell you all you want to hear. However, they're secretly hiding a number of problems-
Excuse me. You people at the back. Where are you going? SIT DOWN IN YOUR SEATS!
...Whaddya mean it's boring? You've heard this all before? Oh... Oh yeah, it's kinda overused
Hmm... If I go over stuff you've never heard about, will you sit, stay and frickin' listen? (*creates crystals over everyone’s heads* stand up and get impaled! ~chaosmancer) Good
So, it's apparent that you know the backstory. Well, anyone with half a brain and an ear between 'em will have heard it at least twice. So let's go a bit deeper.
StoryStrata: Hey, Jya
Jymaru: Yeeeees?
Strata: How can you make a storyline after you've already posted all that storyline stuff?
Jymaru: Ah, well, if you'd shut up, I'd tell you. By the way, are you going to be joining ONMF if you're expressing such interest?
Strata: No >.>Wherever you live, it's becoming apparent that something's going on. Something the government or whoever's in charge won't tell you about. People deny it - that's what you humans do best - but there IS something going on, you just know it. Those people who came by last week and lodged at your house, drinking your tea and eating your crumpets... they DEFINITELY weren't normal.
Well, I'm here to tell you you're stark right. The whole thing's a massive conspiracy, and the existence of two races and a planet are at stake.
Who am I and why am I blabbering out such nonse- Why, I oughta have your head for that! But I won't. Because you humans are so narrow-minded. You can't even connect to the bloody Imagination Network! Now, we Drekzs-
My name's Kyukiitsu Sarkova (Kai-oh-kite-so Sar-koh-vah) (but you can call me Fast), and I've seen things you've never even dreamed of (Narrow-minded humans...). There are many universes beyond this one, and some are completely cut off from us (Like The Remnant Grid and The Hub).
Why am I here? I'm here to save your race from extinction! If you would be kind enough to help us in our cause, you might just survive.
Mechanics, Engines and SystemsManc Jap: MECHANICS
Dude-With-Style: ENGINES
Aronza: SYSTEMS
Jymaru: *facepalms*Now, there are many Mechanics in The Alpha Conspiracy that are untried and untested. Allow me to explain some of them in varying degrees of detail, depending on how much I can be bothered to try
Prompty-san: Garasudama hitotsu otosareta oikakete mou hitotsu okkochita~The
Karma Mechanic is first on the list. THAT'S WHAT ALIGNMENT'S FOR FOLKS! Your Alignment dictates how people will judge you. If you think this is pointless, you're WRONG. You need to have the right Alignment, or civvies are gonna run away screaming and you won't find out anything about the situation. However, certain Alignments will gain you more trust from people - ie: Drekzs lean more towards the Chaotics, and bad guys lean more towards the Evils (If you're having to talk to an antagonistic Drekzs (*coughmxcough*), Chaotic Evil is the way to go!).

Trade's Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Trade's Karma: -100 (He got -20 points for being as scary as the Trickster (Though he's less ugly and freaky))
Tasked with an important intel-gathering mission, Trade heads towards the gates of the nearest citadel.
The more muscled of the two Kurodanian guards stops him and looks him up and down suspiciously.
'You don't look like the type we'd like in our city,' he said bluntly, 'The only way for someone like you to come through is to get a City Pass... Good luck on that one, mate.'
There's a slum nearby, full of hoodlums and hobos. Maybe there's a Guest Pass somewhere there...

Knowing that this mission depended on him getting into the citadel, Trade headed over to the slums and into his favourite domain - chaos.
His dark cloak swept around him as he proceeded, giving out an eerie feel. He headed towards the centre of the slum.
- Jymaru wrote:
- A particularly shady-looking teen comes up to Trade and tugs on his cloak.
'So, I 'ear you wanna get into the city, innit?' he asked in a typical chavvish manner.
Train's Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Train's Karma Level: <-50
- Prompty-san wrote:
- 'Yeah, kid, I am,' Trade replied, 'You wouldn't happen to have a Guest Pass, would you?'
'I'd even be willing to... hehe... Trade,' he added. He couldn't help but laugh at the little joke he made.
- Jymaru wrote:
- The teen dug around in his pocket and tossed Trade a Guest Pass.
''ere's your side of the bargain,' he said, 'Wherever you're from, I wanna see, yeah? So take me with you an' stuff.'

Aronza: I know a song that'll get on your nervesThe
Song Mechanic is an unusual mechanic, but quite a fun one. People like music, and it often contains clues (such as TTFAF meaning run the hell away from me lest you get annihilated ~chaosmancer). For example, most of the Crew are named after words in the song Trail of The Survivor. The lyrics to a song can be found almost anywhere, and it takes a sharp, analytical mind to find the clues hidden within.

A soft tune could be heard bristling the air. It was a sad tune, in some respects, but certainly a very beautiful one.
The source of the music was a young Kyofu girl sat on a swing just ahead. She had black hair that went to red at the tips and was wearing a large yellow bow in her hair, jeans, T-shirt, denim jacket and trainers.
’Promise me we’ll stay for the sunset~ And when the moon shines through the darkness~ We can find a path that leads us home~ And on the way you’ll, maybe, sing me a song~ Promise that you always will be there~ Hold my hand if ever I’m real scared~ Help me stand up tall if I fall down~ Make me laugh away on my bluest days~
How could you promise you always would be there~!? Why’d you have to go away somewhere~? Every morning into every night, do you watch over me like the sun in the sky~? Am I all alone, or standing in your light~? I wish that I could, maybe, sing you a song tonight~’

Eyes listened to the girl’s singing with a slightly quizzical expression. Why did she sound so sad? Singing was supposed to be a happy thing to do, yet there was sorrow laced deep in her voice.
Wishing to hear why the girl was so sad, Eyes snaked closer as quietly as he could.

Hearing a slight slithering noise, the girl looked up slightly.
‘Sky?’ she asked, uncertain.

The girl had spoken in such a way that made Eyes wonder what she was talking about. She obviously wasn’t referring to the sky, as the context was wrong. But the way she’d said it made it seem like she really wanted to see this Sky.
Then it clicked. The Sky she was referring to was Sky Kan.
He did a Profile Scan just to make sure.

Dude-With-Style: SMILE~! You'll be B-Witched's new Cover Witch!The
Picture Mechanic is as it sounds. I post a picture which is a clue, you have to find what it is or why it's a clue. Or maybe it just has information that you need. Same goes for the
Note Mechanic. The only differences between them is the format, same applying for Song Mechanic. Theoretically, it should be a collective
Clue Mechanic

Plains was having a "day off". People needed them, people were given them.
But running away from a speedy paparazzi girl who could control the wind was no easy matter.
Plains decided to hide to see if he could divert the other tengu's attention. It worked and, as she slipped by, she dropped a picture.
One of those people is definitely familiar... Heck, they both are! It's the Suzakus!
- Infernus wrote:
- Plains choked back his laughter as he observed this image.
'Isn't Suzaku U married? Or at least a mourning widower,' he said to himself, 'And Fire's Song has Kyu AND Chaos... He doesn't exactly look like he's enjoying it, but Suzaku U looks like he's playing around... Interesting... What's paparazzi doing with this, though? And how so close?'
'Maybe it's a Soul Camera...'

Prompty-san: I am a f*cking hacker and you are top of my listThe
Hacking Mechanic can go two ways - if you are a skilled hacker or a technologically minded person (this must be stated in Abilities or Bio or Personality), then you will get clues along with the crypted codes. If you're not skilled at all, you get less or no clues. Looking around can find you more clues, maybe. Quite a few hacks will be like puzzles, and some will be a lot harder than others. You can always ask for help. This and various other things often contribute to the
Puzzle Mechanic, where you have clues and must solve a problem or puzzle.

Manc Jap: YOU'RE DOING ROOVES WITH BATTLE SYSTEMS!?!?The
Battle System is a
Thatch Battle Mechanic. This means that the host(it's hosts! you don't forget me dammit!~chaosmancer) GMs (therefore it is GM not GMs~chaosmancer) enemies and separates the actions into manageable paragraphs. You then respond to each paragraph of action with one of your own, dictating what your character does against the attacks and how they fight back.

The first Kansui gets hit by the first shockwave of fire, but as a hydrokinetic creature, it wasn't really affected much
The Second Kansui cleanly dodges the second shockwave

Elements, Kinetics and MancersAronza: ELEMENTS
Manc Jap: KINETICS
Dude-With-Style: MANCERS
Jymaru: Do you guys ever do anything sensible nowadays? There are several elements in the world around us. Here's a list of most of them and their corresponding Kinetic Type
- Fire (Pyrokinesis) (Burn s**t to the ground with the added ability to blow s**t up too~ chaosmancer)
- Water (Hydrokinesis) (Drown people who you don't like... although I have master the ability to make people pass water whenever I want, so don't annoy me!~chaosmancer)
- Ice (Cryokinesis) (mmmm... Ice lollies... see also temporary scab but it's more fun to make ice lollies with them.~chaosmancer)
- Lightning (Fulgukinesis) (up signals brain mess electrical bzzzt. I use this to charge my Ipod when it runs out of battery~chaosmancer)
- Wind (Aerokinesis) (not that type of wind, don't be silly and immature... although if you are skilled enough (like me) you can make people pass wind. I use mine to fly to Scotland~chaosmancer)
- Earth (Terrakinesis) (make platforms, although the most preffered attack use for this is a rock fist, I used mine to rebuild a house that I imsploded~chaosmancer)
- Light (Lucikinesis) (chaosmancer used flash! chaosmancer was arrested~chaosmancer)
- Darkness (Umbrakinesis) (good for when you want to sleep but there's too much light~chaosmancer)
- Metal (Arumukinesis (it's Aurumkinesis not Arum! >.>~chaosmancer))(make blades... no handles though...~chaosmancer)
- Wood (Sylvankinesis)(make handles for said blades... and create splinters they annoy people a lot~chaosmancer)
- Mind (Psychokinesis) (put mindf*****g thoughts into peoples heads. If they are truly feeble minded then you can control them, like my mind control over Jya which stops her being completely repulsed by me. can also be used to make sleep~chaosmancer)
- Resonance (Sonikinesis) (I used the brown noise in a built up area from range... effects were... well messy is kind of an understatement...~chaosmancer)
- Crystallis (Calkinesis) (stabby stabby. Also use to confuse and distract enemies with light reflection and mirrors~chaosmancer)
There are a few exceptions to the rule of all kinetics being element users. Imikinesis is manipulation of the senses, and Levichalymunukinesis is manipulation of the electromagnetic spectrum. Apparently, there's such a thing as teakinesis (I use this too! How do you think I make tea for senate people so fast... see also cookiekinesis, tangfastkinesis, and muffinkinesis to say a few~chaosmancer) too
Mancy covers states of matter. For example, a chaosmancer controls Chaos, which isn't a technical elements. Here's a list of all the States of Matter and their corresponding Mancer Type
- Chaos (Chaosmancer) (not control of me dammit! I really can't say what this does, it includes several other kinesises that I mentioned before~chaosmancer)
- Creation (Generomancer) (drop an anvil on peoples heads. This power is mostly used by people with artistic skills... unlike me... mine are utterly f*****g s**t to say the least~chaosmancer)
- Death/Ressurection (Necromancer) (Disrespect the dead, ressurect their spirits and bodies to fight and work for you buy necromancy today
warning: side effects may include mass uprising and the zombie apocalypse. We are not responsible for any emotional injury caused by this power. Batteries not included. Buy necromancy today! *cheesy salesman grin*~chaosmancer)
If you are a specialist of just one element, you are a Mancer of that element. However, if you can use multiple elements, you are a Kinetic of each of those elements (and a Mancer of any States of Matter you may be able to manipulate).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me (Jymaru), or chaosmancer and we’ll be happy to tell you some more! (As long as it’s not “OMG UR GAEM SUX”, because that will make you taste my fist)
